That's a beautiful plate, Gabi.
As it happens, I've been doing ceramic plates bowls and mugs with my classes. For the teacher's model, I grabbed some persimmon leaves from the tree outside the classroom and rolled them into the clay.
And I've stamped some haiku into the plates using some rubber stamp letters I have. But mine won't be as pretty as the one you illustrated!

Gabi san,

It’s a nice Japanese translation of yours.

[try to hold them] is well conveying the Japanese feeling.

Sehr gut !

Sakuo.

The Nun Rengetsu
scraffitoed her poetry onto her pottery. She didn't have a studio, wheel or kiln. She hand built her ware and fired in other potter's kilns.
