Question :
can you explain, does dragon typically represent typhoon?
Dear Friend
the dragon, in Chinese lore (and thus in Japan ...) is the lord of
the rain, rainclouds and thus typoon too ...

> Unlike the negative energies associated with Western Dragons, most Eastern Dragons are beautiful, friendly, and wise. They are the angels of
the Orient. Instead of being hated, they are loved and worshipped.
> Temples and shrines have been built to honor them, for they control the rain, rivers, lakes, and seas.
> Many Chinese cities have pagodas where people used to burn incense and pray to dragons.

Seeing your page, I've got an idea.
I have two kukai(haiku meeting) monthly.
As the theme of August, typhoon has been chosen. I will use dragon at second
line.
Your haiku site brings us much interest information that is very fresh.
Thank you, Gabi san for your sharing.
