Bamboo groves sourround our home on three sides. They are a marvel in any season, but in winter, with snow, they strike me as especially beautiful.

.. .. .. quite an eery sound this morning getting to the mailbox.
We can only hear this on very seldom late-winter mornings, when the wet snow of last evening has iced and starts melting now in the sunshine.
