MANDALA (01)

.. .. .. .. .. .. Mandala of all kinds

I do a lot of MANDALA THERAPY according to Dr. Ruediger Dahlke, a German doctor. The effects are really surprising, our local schoolchildren are usually so quiet and concentrated when they paint their patterns, it is a joy to watch them. And the smiles of old people after they painted a nice mandala is always so refreshing. Read more about it on the following link.

God must have loved that circular pattern too because He put it into so many of His creations.
These pictures remind me that life is fragile and must be handled with care like the petals of flowers...

Genzu Mandala 現図曼荼羅
"The Original Mandala"

The original version, brought to Japan from China by *Kuukai 空海 (774-835), was kept at Touji 東寺 (Kyoto), but because it began to show signs of wear in Kuukai's later years, a copy was made in 821 (Kounin 弘仁 12), this first copy is known as the Kounin version.
