From present Okayama Prefecture, where I live now since 1995.

Mimasaka province (美作国 Mimasaka no kuni)
is an old province in the area that is today Okayama prefecture, Japan.
Mimasaka bordered on Bitchu, Bizen, Harima, Hoki, and Inaba provinces.
Mimasaka was landlocked.

My sweat turns white at Mimasaka. the plains of Kibi -
it seems a good place for
work in the mountain forests

between all the rice paddies
the spider lilies are flowering -

aze are the small paths between the rice paddies, and shakunage is a kigo
